MIKE+ - Addressing water distribution modelling holistically
Register for this blended course to gain a solid understanding of how to use MIKE+ WD to support your water distribution projects.
This course is right for you if:
✔️ You work in the field of water supply or water distribution
✔️ You have a basic knowledge of pipe network hydraulics
✔️ You are prepared to complete a four-module self-paced course from anywhere you choose
✔️ You want the possibility of arranging online sessions with your own private DHI tutor to monitor progress and discuss challenges
Upon completion of the course, you will be able to:
✔️ Apply the features of MIKE+ that are essential to set up water distribution models
✔️ Run simulations
✔️ Review and analyse results across a variety of water distribution projects
You will learn online through video lectures, demonstration videos, hands-on exercises and handouts.
Additionally, you have the option to receive one-on-one online meetings with a DHI tutor to optimise learning and meet your objectives. Together, you will agree upon the timing of your online tutoring sessions.
Approximately four hours of work per module is expected to get the maximum out of the course.
You are expected to complete your course and online meetings within 30 or 60 days depending on your pricing tier.
The course consists of twelve step-by-step modules. You will start from scratch and gradually build your hydraulic model of a water distribution system.
Module 1 | Introduction to modelling theory and practice
Basics of water distribution modelling and MIKE+ model elements
Module 2 | Create new project
Creating and registering a new project
Module 3 | Import EPANET model
