This new online course teaches the fundamentals of mooring analysis by providing an introduction on how to set up a moored ship in a port subject to environmental forces such as waves, currents, and wind.
Are you a professional in the field of port and maritime/marine engineering? Do you have a basic knowledge of ships, ports, and moorings and experience using numerical modelling software such as MIKE or similar?
Are you prepared to allocate a minimum of two hours of self-study each week as well as commit to four 2-hour online sessions?
If yes, you can benefit from this instructor-facilitated, online course. You’ll learn the background of mooring analysis such as vessel types and data, traditional and automated mooring equipment, and guidelines, perform dynamic mooring analysis with MIKE 21 MA through hands-on exercises where you will input data assessment and calculations, and evaluate your results by interpretation, demonstration, and visualization.
DHI has added extra course materials offering you the opportunity to invest an extra 1-2 hours of self-study per session to master the software.
